Gary G. Harrison, D.V.M.

Dr. Harrison was born and raised in Queens, New York City and was graduated from the City University of New York in 1975 with a BA in Biology. Later he attended the University of Liege, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Brussels, Belgium where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. In 1984, he attended the Intensive Veterinary Post Graduate Course at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He holds licenses to practice veterinary medicine in New York, Connecticut and Florida and is qualified to practice in Quebec Canada. He is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, NYS Veterinary Medical Society and The Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association. After practicing as a relief veterinarian for numerous practices in New York and Connecticut, he started a housecall practice in 1989 in Brewster, New York. The practice grew into todays Med-A-Pet Veterinary Clinic located in Brewster, which still maintains it's housecall clientelle. Dr. Harrison and wife Miguelina are parents of daughters Danielle Marie and Elizabeth Ann. Dr. Harrison has 2 cats Tommy and Jackie and 2 dogs Star and Julie. His favorite hobby is general aviation flying.

Meg, Office Manager

Meg has been managing Med-A-Pet Veterinary Clinic since 1995 and has been an intergral part in it's success. Having a background in business administration and having worked with professional veterinary consultants in the past, she has shaped the image and personality of the practice. She has also helped improve the services offered at a local veterinary emergency clinic. Working side by side with Dr. Harrison and the staff at Med-A-Pet, she has an in depth knowledge of veterinary medicine and the proper care of the patients we see.

Lori , Groomer, Technician

Lori has been working with Dr. Harrison for over 7 years. She started just as an animal lover who had little experience in the field of veterinary care. Over the years, she has developed skills caring for pets of all kinds even some orphaned wildlife. Knowing that she wanted to help pets look their best, she went to professional grooming school. All of the pets that come to Med-A-Pet LOVE Lori and we haven’t met a person who doesn’t like Lori either. Her dedication to the practice and clientele has always been very apparent. She is good at what she does and it shows.

Elizabeth Plumer, Technician

Elizabeth was born and raised in Carmel, NY. She graduated from Mercy College with her B.S. in paralegal studies. She works as a professional assistant in a Law Office. Her love of animals is exemplified by her weekend volunteer work at the local humane shelter. She came to Med-A-Pet part time to help make a difference. Her love is for the animals. She is extremely dedicated and unselfish by providing her time and love for all the pets she meets.
